We are seeking a Transmission Design Engineer - Overhead Lines (275kV - 400kV) for an initial 12-month contract, based in Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, or Manchester.
Additional responsibilities include preparing feasibility studies, technical reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and contributing to HAZID and risk reviews, applying safety by design principles in line with CDM responsibilities. The role involves working with CAD technicians, owning assigned tasks, providing project updates, highlighting risks, and interfacing with third parties. An understanding of IEC standards and technical specifications from clients like National Grid is essential.
