Job summary

University of Southampton invites applications for a Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow in Translational Genomic Informatics, a fixed-term post within the Faculty of Medicine’s Genomic Informatics Group, based at the University of Southampton Hospital site.

You will lead integration of high-throughput genomic data with structured clinical data, develop bioinformatics workflows, and contribute to education and training while collaborating with clinicians, data scientists and infrastructure

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, data science, or closely related field.
• Postdoctoral experience and strong genomics background.
• Ability to connect computational data with clinical information.

Responsibilities

• Lead research integrating high-throughput genomic data with structured clinical data.
• Develop robust bioinformatics workflows and software solutions.
• Publish high-quality research outputs and contribute to training.
• Provide leadership within the Genomic Informatics Group.
