Job summary

Penwortham Girls' High School, part of Lancashire County Council, seeks an experienced Transitional Premises Manager to oversee health and safety and the premises during a period of transition to a new building from January 2027.

The role is temporary (Oct 2026–Apr 2027) and requires proactive, well-organised candidates with excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to work evenings and weekends to cover events and lettings, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety and premises management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willing to work additional hours evenings and weekends for events/lettings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of the school site and staff.
• Oversee security, maintenance and development of premises.
• Respond to emergencies and support during the school’s transition to a new building.
