Job summary

Panoramic Associates is recruiting a Premises Manager for a South East London school on an interim, on-site basis. The role requires being visible on site five days a week to manage day-to-day premises operations, respond to repairs, and maintain safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have proven premises management experience, strong hands-on maintenance skills, and a proactive approach to health and safety, with the ability to coordinate with staff and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Premises Manager / Facilities / Caretaker / Site Manager roles.
• Strong practical maintenance capability and confidence performing on-site repairs.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety responsibilities in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the school premises to ensure safety and operability.
• Carry out basic building repairs and maintenance across the school.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify issues before failures occur.
• Coordinate and monitor reactive repairs and planned maintenance with contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and maintain records.
