We are developing our Transitional Care provision here at RCHT. We have launched the new role for a Band 5 Neonatal Nurse. Your role will be to support mothers as primary care providers for their babies with care needs more than normal requirements but not needing to be admitted to the Neonatal Unit.
Transitional Care is a 25 bed/cot environment for parents and babies. Family-centred care is the core focus, keeping babies with their families. The benefits of Transitional Care include reduced hospital stay and readmission rates, enhanced parental confidence and bonding, and improved baby development for a healthier future.
