Job summary

Exeter College is seeking a dedicated Transition Youth Worker to support Year 11 pupils at risk of NEET. You will manage a caseload of learners in North Devon, coordinating with schools, colleges and local agencies to secure positive destinations such as further education or apprenticeships.

You will build trusted relationships with young people and families, assess needs, agree action plans and guide them through applications, enrolment and the early weeks of their next steps, with safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience engaging vulnerable, disadvantaged or disengaged young people.
• Excellent communication skills and safeguarding knowledge.
• Ability to assess needs, plan actions and review progress.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of learners in North Devon schools.
• Coordinate with Exeter Lead Transition Youth Worker and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor engagement and destinations.
• elevation of safeguarding concerns promptly.
