This role sits within the Skills and Work team, which provides strategic, operational, and commissioning support to Salford young people and residents. Our vision is to provide clear pathways for residents to develop the skills and experience they need to progress into quality and sustainable careers. We do this by focusing on solutions to address barriers for residents participating in education, employment, and training. This role is additional to one other existing Transition Mentor in the team.
What will you be doing?
Reporting into a Policy and Development Officer, you will play a key role in providing a professional and supportive role to Salford's young people by directly supporting a cohort of Year 11 students who need additional support via mentoring to engage in positive post 16 education, employment, and training destinations.
