As a transitional service, Maple House aims to offer young people who have lived in a secure setting an opportunity to be able to adjust to life in the community with the support of a dedicated team who provide a therapeutic and trauma informed style of care.

Joining us a Transition Home Manager at Maple House is one of the most rewarding career development choices you could make. This is a very varied role where no two days are the same. You will hold a unique position where you will be able to understand each young person as an individual to help provide the support and care that’s right for them, enabling them to live, learn and work in a safe caring environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Set the highest of standards and evaluate achievements
- Set outstanding standards of practice outlined within the Children’s Homes regulation 2015.
- Lead and motivate the team to ensure cohesive high quality, child centred practices are in place to prepare young people for adulthood
NOT JUST ANYONEYour life and works experiences are valuable to us and we are looking for someone who has:
- Strong leadership skills and experience of managing a team
- The ability to deploy models of care and integrate into team practices
- Working knowledge of risk assessment and incident management relating to young people in a looked after environment
- The ability to promote good practice and champion the rights of young people
NOT A NORMAL 9 to 5The successful candidate will work an average of 37 hours per week, usually between the hours of 9-5pm. There may also be a requirement to work an early, late and bank holiday shift as well as weekends to cover when required.
