Compensation: GBP 38,250 / year

Overview:
We are seeking experienced and motivated engineers to join our expanding metering team in a unique transient role. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering high-quality service, with variety, ongoing development, and a chance to contribute meaningfully to our customer-focused mission.

The Dual Fuel Transient Commercial Metering Engineer role involves working in multiple locations across the UK, spending three weeks each month away from home. Travel is arranged on Sundays, with a 40-hour working week from Monday to Thursday, and return travel on Fridays. Travel time is paid, alongside a GBP 25 daily sustenance allowance.

This is more than just a dual fuel metering role - it's a dynamic position for those looking to broaden their skills and work across a range of environments.

You will work primarily within the commercial sector, and benefit from structured upskilling in areas such as:

• Three-phase electricity metering
• Medium pressure gas systems

We also offer the opportunity to train further in:

• Half-hourly / CT (Current Transformer) electricity metering
• Commercial gas metering (U16 - U40)

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

• Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
• Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or recognised equivalent)
• Electrical power certification (Logic or equivalent)

Desirable:

• MET4 (small commercial gas metering)
• Current Transformer (CT) metering
• Three-phase experience
• REGT1 (medium pressure)

Additional Requirements:

• UK Driving Licence
• Pass a colour blindness
• Pass a DBS check
