Transformational Manager – Engineering & Operations

Are you ready to lead a thriving hi-tech engineering company towards transformational excellence and strategic growth? This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact a fast-growing business that has doubled in size and is on track to more than double its revenue.

Your responsibilities include enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across design, manufacturing, and operations teams. We seek a thoughtful, empathetic leader who can guide the team towards operational excellence without disrupting existing processes.

Key areas of oversight:

  • Operational excellence – implementing robust processes for high-quality engineering products.
  • Team development – leading, motivating, and mentoring teams to achieve high performance.
  • Stakeholder engagement – collaborating with suppliers, clients, and senior management.
  • Risk management & compliance – identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.

This role involves working closely with the MD and General Manager to drive these initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, operations, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering and manufacturing with a focus on operational transformation.
  • Expertise in Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies.

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract with a strong potential for permanency.

Candidates should ideally be within commuting distance of Leominster.
