Transformation Solutions Architect - Financial Markets, London (City of London)

This role is with a Global Financial Services Business at the start of a new transformation and migration project. The ideal candidate will have proven solutions architecture skills and experience across all stages of systems development, including inception, budgeting, architecture, design, development, testing, live implementation, and post-implementation support.

Technical Skills Required:

• Experience in implementing Event Hub technology (such as Kafka) and modern architecture (e.g., service-oriented architecture, microservices architecture)
• Experience leading the implementation of platform-independent and database-independent applications
• 5+ years of solution architecture experience
• Experience working in Financial Markets Infrastructure and/or regulated environments
• Analytical and systems architecture/design skills
• Database design skills in Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
• OpenShift, containerisation skills
• Object-Oriented Design and Java programming skills
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
• Background and knowledge of Java application programming

Further Elements of the Role:

• Defining options and providing migration recommendations from legacy to new event-driven and service-focused architecture, in collaboration with the Global Enterprise Architecture team
• Delivering end-to-end IT solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Ensuring solutions align with enterprise engineering and architecture standards
• Organising walkthroughs of solutions with delivery teams to ensure end-to-end consistency across platforms and teams
