At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.

The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

Role:

This role, within the Business Transformation Office (BTO) will support the delivery of key projects focused on transformation, innovation and change across Honda Motor Europe (HME). The role will also be responsible for establishing a project management structure and governance processes for projects to adhere to.

The Business Transformation Office are responsible for embedding transformational activity across Honda Motor Europe, helping to deliver projects within the Honda in Europe 2.0 Change Map. These projects require management of a complex landscape of stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as PMO to manage concurrent projects of varying priorities and complexities, across multiple countries, divisions and stakeholders.
  • Drive best practice for project management to identify and implement project processes, governance and tools across Honda Motor Europe.
  • Support the Digital Transformation & Innovation Department Manager in developing innovation initiatives.
  • Perform market sensing to identify emerging trends, working with the Business Transformation Office to develop these into new business offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with our Research & Development teams to prioritise new initiatives and how this can transform business as usual.
  • Support the Business Transformation Office Project & Programme Leads with all project activities.
  • Provide training/support on project tools, frameworks, templates, and ways of working.
  • Prepare project reports, status updates and presentation decks for the BTO team for senior evaluation meetings and branch Townhalls.
  • Support timely decision making by scheduling meetings for projects, ensuring the right stakeholders and suppliers are in attendance, in addition to taking and following up on minutes.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required
  • Educated to degree level in Business or relevant qualification.
  • Previous project management / PMO experience on multi-faceted programmes / projects.
  • Knowledge of tools and technologies such as project management tools, idea management software and successfully implementing project management methodology into the business.
  • Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities for innovation to develop these into strategic initiatives / new business opportunities.
  • Strong relationship skills, collaborating with several teams and suppliers to manage projects from inception to successful implementation, on time within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with a diverse range of executive/senior stakeholders to influence, persuade and challenge constructively.
  • Ability to communicate appropriate, concise, and accurate information in visual formats in order to prepare presentations for management.
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook, Teams, Notes, OneDrive, SharePoint & knowledge of Copilot.
Desirable
  • Project Management qualification such as Prince 2 / APM / PMP / Scrum / Agile or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Design Thinking / Change Management methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
