The OIMU handles and develops covert intelligence in support of Counter Terrorism investigations. Manchester OIMU operates with three syndicates, each working to a Detective Sergeant. OIMU officers and staff manage an active caseload of priority operations and are primarily responsible for gathering, assessing, and developing intelligence in support of a CT Senior Investigating Officer (CTSIO), working with other law enforcement and UK intelligence partners.
