The role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Operate TP team to meet the continually growing demand for the team’s specialist services as a TP delivery hub. We seek a self-starting individual who is comfortable with responsibility, eager to work in a dynamic environment, and capable of handling multiple engagements simultaneously across different teams. The team mainly focuses on project delivery, involving collaboration with various specialist teams across the PwC UK transfer pricing network.

What your days will look like:

The Operate Transfer Pricing team provides flexible team extension resources to the PwC UK transfer pricing network. Unlike typical outsourced teams, they are fully integrated into the engagement teams they support, delivering high-quality work primarily on TP documentation and benchmarking. This is an exciting phase of expansion for the team, increasing its scale, scope, and capabilities.

PwC’s UK transfer pricing team assists multinational organizations in understanding and pricing transfers of goods, services, intellectual property, and funding between related parties. We analyze how clients operate, identify value drivers, and ensure compliance with international tax rules.

This role involves:

• Collaborating with the wider Tax practice as a subject matter expert
• Participating in transfer pricing planning, documentation, defense, and implementation engagements
• Coordinating European and global transfer pricing projects, working with specialists worldwide, and developing optimal TP strategies for clients, including data gathering, comparable searches, and financial analyses
• Expanding the team’s capabilities, focusing on technical training, coaching, mentoring, performance assessment, and career development of team members

The network offers advice on all aspects of UK and international transfer pricing, including arm's length calculations, policy development, OECD compliance, tax audits, and advanced pricing agreements. Work includes diverse intercompany transactions and technical analyses such as benchmarking, documentation, financial modeling, and industry research. The team is growing its service offerings, client interactions, and project ownership.

Beyond technical expertise, developing the skills and leadership of junior staff is essential.

This role is for you if you have:

• Strong transfer pricing technical skills at an experienced Senior Associate level or equivalent
• Proactive client and project management, attention to detail, self-motivation, and ownership of work
• Proven ability to deliver quality TP work, understand client businesses, and maintain professional standards and respectful relationships
• Team-building and leadership skills to develop and enhance the TP Operate offering
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Chartered Accountant qualification and relevant memberships or certifications (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CAI, ATT, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent)
