Overview:

Sentara is hiring a Transfer Center Coordinator (RN) for the Fort Norfolk Transfer Center.

Position Overview

  • FLEXI/PRN, 12 hours per week
  • Day Shift

Minimum Requirements

  • Registered Nurse - BSN preferred
  • 5 years acute care experience
  • Previous ICU, ED, or Transfer Center experience preferred
  • Computer technology and typing skills required

The Transfer Coordinator assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates patient transfers within the system network. They coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely patient placement and transfers, communicate capacity management plans, and possess clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills to meet care standards. Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude towards all professional contacts.
