About the role...

My client’s Transaction Services team is scaling fast, and they’re looking for a dynamic Transaction Tax Director to help lead that growth. This is a senior, high-impact role with a strong focus on business development and leadership.

You’ll be the most senior Transaction Tax specialist in their London office, with a clear mandate to grow their presence across the South East. It's an exciting opportunity to shape strategy, build out a team, and make a real mark in a business that’s expanding rapidly.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Leading end-to-end transaction tax engagements – strategic advice, due diligence, structuring, and planning
2. Partnering with clients to develop tax strategies aligned with their commercial goals
3. Driving business development – identifying opportunities, winning work, and supporting revenue growth
4. Building strong relationships across the M&A landscape – intermediaries, legal, PE, industry, and internal teams
5. Staying ahead of tax law changes and communicating insights clearly and confidently
6. Project managing service delivery with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
7. Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture
8. Overseeing key operational metrics – budgets, team utilisation, and working capital management
