Our Sell-side Transactions Tax team advises shareholders and their companies throughout the lifespan of a transaction, helping them maximize after-tax sales proceeds and manage tax risks. We focus on privately owned and private equity-backed companies, supporting them through complex tax compliance and advisory projects as they grow, restructure, and consider succession planning.

We build trusted adviser relationships by understanding clients’ business and personal goals and helping them achieve these in a tax-efficient manner.

Our wider national tax practice includes corporate, multinational, and specialist services such as innovation tax, employment taxes, VAT, and real estate, supporting our Private Capital clients.

We promote flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to support work-life balance.

Role Overview

As an Associate Director, you will:

  • Provide proactive, pragmatic advice to businesses and shareholders at all transaction stages
  • Support and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality work
  • Approach risk thoughtfully, consulting leadership when needed
  • Ensure smooth and timely deal processes, assisting clients with arising issues
  • Apply technical expertise to deliver pragmatic, commercial advice
Candidate Profile

We seek ambitious, adaptable individuals with the following minimum criteria:

  • Qualified (ACA, CTA, ATT) with experience supporting deals at Manager level or above
  • Experience in sell-side transactions; buy-side experience is a plus
  • Project management skills with limited supervision
  • Ability to mentor junior staff
