Job description

Job Description

Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Tax team is structured to provide the full spectrum of tax services to private equity, across funds, deals, and portfolio companies on a wide scope of transactional work both domestically and internationally.

We advise mid-market private equity firms and large corporates with deal values from a few million to over a billion. We support clients throughout the deal lifecycle, from proposals and due diligence to post-deal advice.

The team works across diverse sectors, including technology, gaming, care, art, travel, and retail. This role involves technical tax application, client interaction, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

We are a small, rapidly growing team offering opportunities for responsibility and development.

We seek enthusiastic individuals aiming for an Associate Director role with an interest in M&A tax.

Flexible working arrangements are considered, including reduced hours and job shares, to help balance work, study, and personal life.

Role Overview

As Associate Director, you will provide tax structuring advice and undertake tax due diligence for private equity and corporate clients, including work on AIM and Main Market transactions.

You will lead client discussions, manage relationships, coordinate with FDD and SPA teams, oversee due diligence, prepare reports, and review legal and financial documentation. Collaboration across teams and with external contacts is essential, as is business development and proposal preparation. You will also manage project budgets and contribute to team training.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser (ACA, CA CTA, ADIT or similar), with a solid grounding in UK tax practices. Experience in UK corporation tax compliance, M&A, and technical tax advice is essential. Skills in client handling, project management, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are also required.
