Job Description
Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Tax team is structured to provide the full spectrum of tax services to private equity, covering funds, deals, and portfolio companies on a wide scope of transactional work both domestically and internationally.
We advise mid-market private equity firms and large acquisitive corporates with deal values from a few million to over a billion. We support clients throughout the entire deal lifecycle, from initial proposal and due diligence to completion and post-deal advice.
Our work spans various sectors, including technology, gaming, care homes, art galleries, travel, and retail. The environment is fast-moving and technically driven, requiring strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Role Overview
As an Associate Director in the TAS Tax team, you will provide tax structuring advice and conduct tax due diligence on buy-side and sell-side transactions for private equity and corporate clients, including work on AIM and Main Market transactions of the London Stock Exchange.
You will lead discussions with clients and legal advisors, manage relationships with target management teams, and collaborate with FDD and SPA advisory teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
Your responsibilities include leading due diligence meetings, overseeing analysis, reviewing reports, and preparing structuring reports considering key tax implications aligned with commercial objectives.
You will also review financial models, legal documentation, and work closely with external contacts to drive business development. Managing project budgets and ensuring timely billing and collection are part of your duties. Additionally, you will produce technical research and oversee team training and development.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser (ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent) with a solid understanding of UK tax practices. Relevant skills include:
