Job Description
Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Tax team is structured to provide the full spectrum of tax services to private equity clients, across funds, deals, and portfolio companies on both domestic and international transactions.
We advise mid-market private equity firms and large corporates with deal values ranging from a few million to over a billion. Our team supports clients throughout the entire deal lifecycle, from initial proposal and due diligence to post-deal advice.
Our work spans various sectors, including technology, gaming, care homes, art galleries, travel, and retail. The environment is fast-paced and technically focused, requiring excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
As part of a growing team, you will have opportunities to take on responsibility and develop your career, especially if you are stepping into an Associate Director role interested in M&A tax.
We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job sharing, to help balance work, study, and personal life.
As an Associate Director in TAS Tax, you will provide tax structuring advice and conduct tax due diligence on transactions for private equity and corporate clients, including work on AIM and Main Market transactions of the London Stock Exchange.
You will lead discussions with clients and legal advisors, manage relationships with target management, oversee due diligence processes, and review reports for accuracy and robustness. Your responsibilities also include preparing tax structuring reports, reviewing financial models, legal documents, and collaborating across teams and with external stakeholders to drive business development.
You will manage project budgets, ensure timely billing, and contribute to technical research and team development.
The ideal candidate is a qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser (ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent), with a solid grounding in UK tax practices. Experience in UK corporation tax, M&A, and client handling is essential. Additional skills like transfer pricing, R&D, VAT, employment taxes, and share transactions are a plus. Strong project management, communication skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are also required.
We value an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. Our benefits include tailored development programs, flexible holidays, pension, life assurance, private medical, shopping discounts, gym memberships, and financial advice.
We promote a trust-based, flexible working environment that supports work-life balance. We seek proactive individuals who want to contribute, innovate, and uphold our values of purpose, curiosity, and candor.
