Job description

A premium consumer brand based in west London are currently seeking a Transactional Finance Manager to join their team! The role will oversee and manage a team working in accounts payable and receivables - overseeing day to day operations and to drive process improvement and automation.

  • Drive a high-performing cultures across AP & AR functions
  • Implement and monitor KPIs for the team, including reporting and analysis of performance metrics.
  • Streamline the working capital cycle and ensure order releases are consistently aligned with established policies.
  • Lead cash flow forecasting, analysing variances to enhance precision.
  • Safeguard the accuracy of customer master data and conduct prompt credit risk evaluations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 4-5, fostering performance and skill development.
  • Drive performance evaluations, optimize team structures, and align personal development plans with strategic objectives.
  • Promote a workplace culture centred on ongoing improvement and personal accountability.
  • Spearhead AP & AR process enhancement initiatives, advancing automation, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that influence financial operations and processes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading AP/AR functions within fast-paced or FMCG environments, with a strong command of SAP-ideally including system implementations or upgrades. They have a proven ability to drive process improvements, automation, and enhance key metrics such as DSO and collections. Strong decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills are essential, and prior experience working within the consumer sector would be advantageous.
