Job description

Search is supporting the recruitment of an interim Transactional Finance Manager for our client.

This role oversees Billing, Credit Control, and Supplier processes for both UK and International businesses. Based in Edinburgh with hybrid working, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience leading a transactional finance team, with knowledge of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and mentor a team, ensuring effective output and career development.
  2. Oversee AP & AR functions, ensuring effective controls.
  3. Build a positive team culture and drive continuous process improvements.
  4. Manage payables, client collections, aged debtors, and credit risk.
  5. Develop KPI metrics and report to Senior Management.
  6. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and manage corporate card spend.
  7. Support system implementations and finance transformation projects.
  8. Provide insights and reporting to wider Finance teams.
Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience in AP/AR functions.
  • Experience managing small teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture.
