Medina is currently recruiting for a Transactional Finance Assistant to join the team in the Newport, Isle of Wight office on a full-time, permanent basis.

The working hours are 25 hours per week, with overtime equating to full-time hours. The role is Monday – Saturday with 1 day off in the week.

This role is paying £ per hour.

Key Accountabilities & responsibilities:

  • Checking and processing purchase and overhead invoices.
  • Handling supplier invoice queries, including shortages, rejected products, and price discrepancies.
  • Processing customer card payments (Braintree).
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Producing weekly and monthly payment runs.
  • Matching delivery notes and credit notes to invoices when necessary.
  • Dealing with suppliers regarding payment reminder letters and calls.
  • Performing daily/weekly bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
  • Building and maintaining a network of internal and external contacts, ensuring accurate records of communication.
  • Communicating effectively with relevant departments to address issues.
  • Managing expectations of requests and deadlines through regular interaction with colleagues.
  • Working collaboratively in a team environment for the benefit of the business.
  • Creating and opening new accounts.
