SCOTLAND AND UK REGIONS
Brief
Our Construction and Engineering Group is expanding, and we are looking to recruit a talented transactional (non-contentious) construction lawyer, ideally with experience in the energy sector though not essential, with 4-8 years' PQE. This role involves transactional construction work, focusing on renewable energy projects mainly across the UK, with consideration for all UK office locations, preferably Scottish. The role involves working with partners based in Scotland and our wider UK team.

We seek a construction and engineering lawyer with extensive experience advising on major projects in energy and infrastructure sectors, recognized for non-contentious construction practice, especially in energy.
We advise clients on all aspects of non-contentious construction, including large-scale development projects, with particular expertise in renewable energy supply chain arrangements. Our team is known for its depth of talent and international reach, acting for developers, funders, project companies, contractors, and insurers across sectors like offshore and onshore renewables, hydrogen, nuclear, water, hydro, oil, and gas.

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional (non-contentious) construction work, preferably in energy but open to other sectors, with a desire to develop a diverse portfolio across UK and international projects. They should have worked in large firms, in-house legal teams, or local authorities, be team-oriented, enthusiastic, commercially astute, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
The role offers involvement in top-tier national and international projects, relationship development with existing clients, and opportunities within an international team.
