Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is looking for a Compliance Officer to join their Oversight & Controls team in Edinburgh. Qualifications

Job description

SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £39,825 - £44,250

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

This role sits within the Oversight & Controls team that provides third party Oversight service for the operational processes. As well as expertise to support compliance with CASS, business change delivery, Operations and the wider business, to ensure regulatory compliance and a superior user experience for our customers.

Focusing on ensuring regulatory compliance for MiFID II transaction reporting and resolving system & trading issues in a timely, regulatory compliance and customer-centric manner, as well as pro-actively determining and implementing measures to ensure ongoing compliance.

Ensure all queries and issues are actioned effectively through to a satisfactory resolution and outcome. Taking a leadership role within the team, a role model displaying strong behaviours and consistently high standards. Also taking a lead role within key stakeholder management.

What will I be doing?

Submission of regulatory transaction reporting in compliance with MiFID II requirements

Validate source data against regulatory reports to ensure completeness and accuracy

Ensure identification and completion of controls to provide robust ongoing monitoring processes

Provide technical support, quality service and advice to members of Operations, Project and wider Embark business.

Deliver training to the team to address knowledge gaps and process improvements

Monitor and review regulatory information, updating where necessary in order to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information.

Identify new regulatory requirements where applicable and work with the Change Management Teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation

Participate in projects as appropriate including support implementation with pre and post deployment smoke testing in addition to appropriate level of communications.

What you’ll need

Experience in Trade and Transaction report submission in line with MiFID II regulations

Knowledge of MiFID II regulatory requirements

Knowledge of fund platforms, investments, pensions, tax treatment of individual investing

Detailed wrap product knowledge and experience of operations within a regulated environment

Be able to work independently and in a team environment, show leadership skills to the team

Strong customer/partner management

Strong attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and stakeholder management

Think fast on feet. Able to consider the bigger picture and understand dependencies, constraints and other considerations; not just focusing directly on the issue
