Job summary

Square Mile Connections is seeking an experienced transaction manager to lead a portfolio across Trust & Agency, Loan Agency, Escrow/M&A, and Structured Finance. You will coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth deal lifecycle and regulatory compliance.

The role demands a law degree, significant related experience, and eligibility as a solicitor or barrister, with a track record in corporate trust, loan agency, or escrow services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience, or a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or professional experience with at least 5 years in related work.
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or professional experience as a transaction manager in an established Trust & Agency business.
• Experience in Corporate Trust, Loan Agency, Structured Finance, Corporate Services & Escrow or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Negotiating and closing transactions where our client provides Trust & Agency Services, Loan Agency, Escrow/M&A, Structured Finance and Corporate Services.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating structured finance, loan agency and/or escrow agency documents.
• Managing deal closing and post-close matters including amendments, waivers and consents to distressed and defaulted transactions.
• Liaising with internal Relationship Management, Operational and Support teams throughout the lifecycle of the deal.
• Attending client meetings and industry events as appropriate.
• Assist Sales with business development initiatives and coordinate transaction structures depending on asset type.
• Acting as the main point of contact across your portfolio and handling escalations promptly.
• Identifying risk-related issues and escalating to senior members as appropriate.
• Providing support and training to less experienced team members.
• Understanding and adhering to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards and controls.
• Maintaining internal control standards and addressing audit points with regulators as applicable.
• Ad-hoc duties as required.

Exciting opportunity to join an expanding, international Non-Banking Financial Institution. The successful candidate will join an existing team will have the opportunity to join a thriving Financial Institution and manage a diverse portfolio of GCM related transactions to include Trust & Agency, Loan Agency, Escrow/M&A, Structured Finance, Corporate Services. This role involves managing key client relationships, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant management of the lifecycle of the transactions.

This is a unique opportunity for someone to work across a varied portfolio of assets/complex transactions, providing the individual with the ability to learn new products, more exposure and knowledge.

Responsibilities include:

• Experience of reviewing and negotiating structured finance, loan agency and/or escrow agency documents
• Managing deal closing and post-close matters ranging from amendments, waivers and consents to distressed and defaulted transactions.

• Maintaining internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Ad-hoc duties as required.

Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in law and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or professional experience as a transaction manager in an established Trust & Agency business.
• Experience in either of the following Corporate Trust, Loan Agency, Structured Finance, Corporate Services & Escrow.
