Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transaction Manager to join our dynamic team in London. The ideal candidate will assist in the loan origination and closing process, covering initial on-boarding of new lending opportunities, due diligence procurement and delivery management, and transaction closing. This role will involve coordination across multiple internal stakeholders and external advisors, and is crucial in facilitating smooth transactions and providing excellent service to our clients.
What you will do:
· Onboard new transaction opportunities into Blackstone systems.
· Liaise with borrowers, external advisors, third party banks, and Blackstone team members.
· Assist with obtaining quotes and scope from external advisors.
· Proactively manage due diligence process to ensure overall transaction timeline is met.
· Oversee internal funding / closing processes, including compiling settlement statement and coordinating wire transfers and disbursements.
· Identify and resolve potential closing issues proactively.
· Verify that all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards.
· Conduct final audits of loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness before closing.
· Communicate effectively with clients to explain closing procedures and address any questions or concerns.
· Maintain organized records of loan files and closing documentation.
· Support the Blackstone deal team with administrative tasks as needed.
· Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the closing function.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong proactivity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
· Excellent problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Previous experience of fast-paced project management or deal management roles, likely gained at a professional services firm.
· Previous experience in loan processing, closing, or a related financial services role is a plus.
· Qualification in finance, law, business or a related field is a plus.
· Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance is a plus.
· Ability to speak multiple European languages is a plus.
LOCATION
Located within the iconic Shard our office space reflects who we are and how we work, with collaboration and efficiency in mind. We work to a hybrid model with employees generally working in the office 3-days a week.
