Job summary

KeolisAmey Metrolink (KAM) is recruiting a Tram Maintenance Technician for the Rolling Stock Engineering team in Greater Manchester. You will diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis, and support the maintenance plan to keep trams safe and reliable.

You’ll work across days, evenings, nights and weekends within a rostered shift pattern, collaborating with a skilled team. Excellent safety awareness and team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of maintenance activities within a large multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of fault-finding techniques and diagnostic investigations.
• Experience in a large maintenance environment with focus on safety and planning.

Responsibilities

• Dig deep into diagnostics and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain fleet reliability by following maintenance instructions.
• Participate in safety briefings and culture of care.
• Carry out tasks to high standards per maintenance guidelines.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve processes.
• Keep asset management records accurate and up-to-date.
