Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Training Solution Architect to join our team in a hybrid role supporting the UK MOD’s Integrated Training Solution. You will coordinate courseware, training devices, and training media across stakeholders, ensuring a coherent training pipeline and successful handovers to end users.

Primarily home-based but travel to internal and customer meetings may be required. You should be eligible for BPSS and SC clearance and have experience with submarine systems, defence training

Responsibilities

• Identify issues impacting delivery of training systems into the training environment and develop solutions.

• Coordinate with Courseware and Media teams to satisfy external requirements.
• Work with security representatives to comply with handling of protected materials.
• Provide regular reporting against metrics to ensure confidence in integration activities.

Raytheon UK has an excellent opportunity for a Training Solution Architect to join our team.

As a Training Solution Architect (TSA), you will provide specialist expertise in submarine systems to support the development, integration, installation, and commissioning of the UK MOD's Integrated Training Solution (ITS).

Working within the Training Coherence Team, you will ensure the seamless integration of new courseware and training devices with existing training media, creating a coherent individual training pipeline. Collaborating with the Engineering Integration Manager, you will support the delivery and alignment of courseware, media, and training systems.

The role involves coordinating the integration of complex hardware, software, and courseware solutions across multiple stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and MOD end users. This will be achieved through the development and execution of integration strategies and plans, effective risk management, cross-functional collaboration, and the successful transition of training capabilities to realise operational and business benefits.

Primarily home-based but must be prepared to travel to support internal and customer meetings and duties.

You must either currently hold or be eligible and willing to gain BPSS and SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Identification of issues that will impact on the delivery of training systems into the training environment. Developing the solutions required to eliminate or minimise the potential impact of those issues.
• Liaise with range of functional specialists to identify training system element requirements that will need integrating on site.
• Develop effective working relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Oversee the integration of the course elements, devices and courseware from early within the development life cycle through delivery to finally installation and commissioning.
• Act as the project’s subject matter expert and point of contact on the installation and commissioning and hand over of the devices to support project delivery requirements.
• Ensure successful Hand Over through in depth understanding of the acceptance criteria and delivery of all required artefacts including but not limited to Transition to Service Plans, Operation Manuals, Training Guides etc.
• Work closely with the Information Assurance and Safety & Environmental Engineering Leads to ensure that all requirements of the devices, both current and future, are met.
• Work closely with Courseware and Media Developers to ensure that all external requirements of the courseware development team, both current and future, are met.
• Work closely with Security representatives (physical and electronic) to ensure compliance with existing regulations on handling and storage of protected materials.
• Provide regular reporting against developed metrics to ensure confidence in the integration activities and successful hand over to the customer and end-users

Required Skills & Experience

Desirable Skills And Experience

• Managing projects, tasks and deliverables with protective markings or other special handling restrictions.
• Knowledge of or experience with Site Co-ordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA)
• Experience with Atlassian suite, working with Jira and Confluence.
• Awareness of NAFv4 and/or TOGAF.
• Experience of training devices.
