NHS England is seeking a Training Programme Director for Neurosurgery in South London. This role involves overseeing the regional training program, ensuring national standards are met, and requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of NHS training. The successful candidate will play a key part in the professional development of trainee doctors, focusing on patient-centered care and collaboration.
An outstanding individual is sought to fulfill the role of Training Programme Director for Neurosurgery in South London.
The role of Training Programme Director is to work with and support the Postgraduate Dean in leading the delivery of a wide range of functions within their specialty, aligned to the NHS England mandate. The Programme Director will ensure that both national standards, determined by the Royal College, and guidelines and standards established within Neurosurgery, are met.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Head of School, other Neurosurgery TPDs, the LaSE team including the PGMDE Business Manager, Postgraduate Dean, and other key departments such as Quality.
They will work with the Postgraduate Dean to produce doctors who strive for the highest standards of patient-centered care and commit to lifelong professional development.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Consultant with a thorough understanding of Neurosurgery training across the region, possessing strong leadership and communication skills, and capable of working effectively as part of a multi-professional team.
