You will support the Head of School in overseeing the quality, management, and supervision of programmes within the School. This includes ensuring all programmes meet standards set by NHS England, the GMC, and the Royal College.
You will collaborate with the Head of School, NHS England’s senior educators, other Heads of Schools, Directors of Medical Education, and Training Programme Directors to ensure trainees have access to comprehensive experiences covering the speciality curricula.
You are expected to maintain a clinical commitment. Candidates must have a medical degree, membership or fellowship of the relevant Royal College or Faculty, and hold a current substantive contract as an NHS Consultant in a relevant specialty. Excellent leadership skills, professional development, and contribution through academic and managerial roles are essential.
This role is based in the West Midlands and spans the entire region. The position is offered on a secondment basis; successful candidates must secure written employer approval for release from clinical duties for the required PAs.
