Important Information
Medical: Appointment depends on medical checks, including drugs and fitness tests. Candidates passing the initial sift will complete a Police Job Related Fitness Test to Level 6:3 (multi-stage 15m bleep test).
Probationary Policy: Current probationary officers cannot apply for alternative roles unless supported by their line manager, and if successful, their probation starts anew. Policies - Probation Period (Police Staff) (wmpad.local).
Hours and Location: Monday to Friday, 0800-1600 hrs, with flexible options. Based at Tally Ho, with training at various stations. Work pattern includes 1 in 8 weekends (16-week cycle).
Vetting: Successful applicants will undergo recruitment vetting and counter-terrorism clearance, including background and financial checks.
Discovery Sessions: Interested individuals can attend sessions on 30 April 2025 at 13:00 hrs and 8 May 2025 at 18:00 hrs via Microsoft Teams. Contact Henry Harvey or Paul Cook at physical_training@westmidlands.police.uk.
