The Training Officer will have responsibility for the organisation, administration and delivery of Scottish Qualification’s for whom the Comhairle are approved to deliver.

The Training Officer will manage the accreditation and quality assurance of all Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) awards delivered within the Approved Centre and co-ordinate, support, develop, implement and monitor all training, learning, assessment and verification in relation to these awards.

Educated to SVQ 3 or equivalent in related discipline. Educated to Higher level or equivalent with at least two years’ experience working in Human Resources, Training or Youth Work . It is essential that you have good organisational skills with an ability to work on own initiative, excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. The postholder will have knowledge of all aspects of the delivery of training programmes and a good working knowledge of educational structures and evidence/theory requirements of accredited training programmes.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
