DSV is recruiting for a Training Manager at our Mercia Park location.

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with Training Specialists, BCM, and Operational Teams, the Training Manager is a key member of the Contract Logistics Management Team. The role involves working with all business leads to meet and exceed both customer and internal expectations as outlined in the Business Plan.

The main responsibilities include the continuous delivery of WMS training (according to the Global BCM Framework), management training courses, plans, and campaigns to meet broader business needs.

Key Tasks
  • Manage the Training Team to define and deliver training for new customer implementations, site/client moves, and continuous improvement projects, ensuring staff training levels meet standards.
  • Collaborate with operational and support functions such as HR, Global BCM, Business Development, Finance, and Admin during new and existing client projects, leading workstreams in training roles.
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Deliver WMS training via the Global BCM Framework.
  • Conduct operational training at various levels within the team.
  • Create support plans for key business projects.
  • Work with HR and operational managers on people development initiatives.
  • Survey staff to support retention and development.
  • Represent UK & IE BCM in project updates and communicate key updates to wider teams.
  • Develop processes for training nominations and KPI tracking.
  • Deliver internal HR training sessions.
Key Accountable Areas
  • Oversee daily training processes, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement, while ensuring governance and review standards are met.
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Project, and Finance teams to ensure smooth implementation of new projects, providing support as needed.
  • Analyze information to identify opportunities for performance improvements and innovation.
  • Manage recruitment, training, development, and discipline of direct reports, maintaining regular performance reviews and employee engagement practices.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with Global BCM, operational, support functions, and HR to facilitate training and talent development.
  • Support continuous improvement programs by updating training materials accordingly.
  • Promote professional image and ensure effective communication within teams.
General Responsibilities
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and act professionally.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met, adhering to ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS18001 standards.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and security standards.
  • Participate in development training as required.
