The Apache Academy (ApAc) provides AH-64 synthetic training to our MoD customer. ApAc Engineering supports the continuity of training delivery through proactive and reactive maintenance of synthetic training equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with repairs, tests, installation, configuration, upgrades, and modifications of simulators and training components, devices, hardware, and software.
  2. Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations, and component handling of training devices, assemblies, and components.
  3. Assist with functional tests of training device systems and monitor device instrumentation.
  4. Support troubleshooting of systems and support equipment to isolate faults and repair faulty components.
  5. Work under supervision.
  6. Develop and improve existing processes and procedures to promote continuous improvement within ApAc Engineering.
  7. Provide first-line support to building and infrastructure systems.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with electronic, electrical systems, engineering, computers, and networking.
  • Excellent organizational and computing skills.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Time-served indentured apprenticeship (Simulator/Avionics/Electronics/Engineering).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Electronics, or Avionics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with flight simulators and training equipment.
  • Knowledge of the Military Air Environment and related governance.

This position will be based onsite full-time and operate on a shift pattern of alternating weeks of early shift (0700 - 1500) and late shift (1500 - 2300).

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a BPSS clearance is required.
