We're working with a highly regarded, independent financial planning firm that is looking to appoint a Training & Development Officer to join their Compliance Team. This is a great opportunity to take on a pivotal role within a growing, values-led organisation that puts clients and quality advice first.

About the Role:This is a key position focused on training, competence, and regulatory development across the business. You'll be instrumental in onboarding, supervising and supporting the progression of Financial Planners, Senior Managers, and support staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading onboarding and FCA registration processes
  • Designing and delivering engaging induction and compliance training
  • Creating tailored development plans and coaching frameworks
  • Monitoring performance and maintaining CPD records
  • Overseeing Fit & Proper assessments and ongoing competency
  • Reviewing advice cases and offering constructive feedback
  • Supporting professional qualifications and chartered progression
  • Maintaining the firm's Training & Competence scheme
  • Providing insightful reporting to leadership on KPIs and risk
  • Supporting wider learning & development across the business

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a T&C, L&D, or supervisory role within financial services
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance processes
  • Ideally qualified to Diploma level (or near completion)
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and documentation skills
  • Collaborative, detail-focused, and professional in approach
  • Comfortable handling sensitive matters with discretion and fairness
