Role: Training Coordinator – Warehouse / Logistics

Location: Leighton Buzzard – National College for Logistics with travel to our sites in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire

Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £41,085 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 35 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About The Role

We are currently seeking a Training Coordinator in Warehouse / Logistics to join our Logistics department at The Bedford College Group.

  • Work-Based Learning Delivery & Assessment - Deliver and assess training for work-based learners, ensuring programmes reflect current industry practices, supporting learners to achieve qualifications, and providing regular feedback, reviews and target setting.
  • Learner Support & Progress Management - Coordinate learner induction, maintain individual learning plans, monitor progress, conduct workplace assessment visits, and work with support services to ensure learners receive the guidance and assistance needed to succeed.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance - Maintain accurate learner records, track attendance and achievement, ensure evidence meets awarding body requirements, participate in internal quality assurance activities, and support external quality inspections and audit requirements.
  • Employer Engagement & Stakeholder Collaboration - Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and tutors, provide regular updates on learner progress, organise workplace assessments, deliver information, advice and guidance, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Professional Standards & College Responsibilities - Contribute to team development and CPD, maintain confidentiality, support College-wide events and activities, and promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, and continuous professional development.
About You
  • Qualifications, Assessment & Industry Expertise - Holds a relevant Level 3+ vocational qualification, assessor qualifications (or equivalent), and strong sector experience, including assessing learners and applying current industry knowledge, systems and health and safety requirements.
  • Training, Learner Support & Assessment Skills - Able to deliver effective training based on current industry practices, provide robust and constructive feedback, build positive relationships with learners, and support progress through face-to-face, telephone and digital methods.
  • Communication, Organisation & Professional Relationships - Demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills, effectively manages workloads and deadlines, works under pressure, and maintains productive relationships with learners, employers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Quality, Performance & College Values - Committed to delivering a high-quality learner experience, maintaining high standards of performance, promoting equality and diversity, contributing positively to teams, and upholding the College values of Student Focus, High Performance, and Respect, Openness and Honesty.
