Location: Ebbw Vale, NP23 5SD

This is a site-based role in Ebbw Vale, specialising in food production of chilled dips, houmous, sandwich fillings, toppings and marinades.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 17:00

Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE

Purpose:

To support the upskilling and development of all employees on site. Maintaining training records, to support audits and compliance. Generating training data and identify skills gaps, to support the development and succession planning on site.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver site inductions weekly to cover legislative and site policies and procedures, including refresher inductions.
  • Ensure training matrices and electronic files including on the Learning Management System (LMS) are accurately maintained and meet the needs of audit standards and customer requirements.
  • Support the development and utilisation of the LMS for the site including creating curriculum, creating assignments, assigning learning, creating learning calendars and creating reports
  • Ensure that refresher training is carried out in line with requirements to include external courses, including sourcing suppliers and scheduling training where applicable.
  • Supports the management team in actively driving completion of training across all functions – including Standard Operating Procedures and online courses within the factory and LMS.
  • Support all departments in the preparation and support during audit process and the close out of non-conformances.
  • Ensure site’s training records and matrices are correct and effectively maintained.
  • Support the management team and Senior Leadership Team in identifying skills gaps within the business and incorporate within the overall training plan and strategy.
  • Coach, mentor and develop all team members at site and be an advocate for continuous learning and development.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar training role
  • Manufacturing/FMCG experience
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Organisation skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with external and internal colleagues
  • Proactive nature, willing to learn quickly and to take on new challenges.
