Training Contract Paralegal

An elite US law firm is hiring a new Training Contract Paralegal to join their London offices on an initial 9-month fixed-term contract working the Afternoon and Evening shift, from 12pm to 8.30pm. This role is ideal for someone who has a training contract lined up in 2026 or 2027. Providing high-level work from day one, this is a superb opportunity for an experienced Corporate / Finance Paralegal.

• Salary up to £58,000
• Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
• 12pm to 8.30pm
• Paid overtime

The Training Contract Paralegal will play an instrumental role in all phases of corporate transactions and will be an integral part of the team, working alongside partners and attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding documentation required for High Yield Bond Transactions and processes from start to finish.
• Assisting lawyers with transaction pre-closings and closings.
• Drafting due diligence memoranda, call logs, fact backup charts, and transfer circle-ups.
• Handling attorney requests from the US office via the US Library.
• Conducting document searches and factual research, including searches on computerized systems.
• Proofreading agreements and transactional documents.
• Obtaining charter documents and certificates of good standing from the Secretary of State where applicable.
• Handling post-closing matters, including preparing bound volumes.
• Gathering precedents for new transactions.

Skills & Requirements:

• Excellent academic qualifications are essential.
