A leading international airport in the UK seeks a Training and Competency Specialist to enhance engineering roles through effective training frameworks and assessments. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical training, strong interpersonal skills, and relevant qualifications in engineering and learning development. This position offers hybrid working options with a professional team dedicated to growth and innovation.
Implementing and maintaining competency frameworks for engineering roles and contractors.
Conducting training needs analysis and developing competency assessment plans.
Supporting internal trainer courses and standardizing documentation.
Collaborating with stakeholders to align training with strategic goals.
Promoting STEM and outreach initiatives to support diversity and inclusion.
Experience: in a training and competency role within a technical environment.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of apprenticeship and graduate frameworks.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and organizational skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital learning tools.
Desirable Qualifications: Level 3+ in Engineering, L&D or related field; Level 4 IQA, Train the Trainer (AET), Assessor (ACWE), and Safeguarding qualifications.
