Pyramid8 is recruiting for a Training Co-Ordinator for a large manufacturing organisation based in Scunthorpe employing over 200 people. This is a great opportunity for someone with training experience to be part of a fast-paced company and help grow their training and development programs.

The role involves ensuring that on-site production and mandatory training are completed promptly and in full compliance with all relevant standards. It includes aligning production and training requirements with overall business strategy while maintaining adherence to site compliance. The Training Coordinator will deliver effective training to the production workforce through well-structured mandatory courses, continuously developing and enhancing these programs as needed. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate and up-to-date production training documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reflecting current requirements. Creating new SOPs for new machinery or processes in collaboration with subject matter experts and taking full ownership of the production training function.

The Role

  1. Involved in inductions and onboarding, serving as the operational point of contact
  2. Responsible for Learning and Development coordination activities, particularly for production staff for mandatory training
  3. Supporting the development and delivery of training and HSE compliance, working with areas to improve training and identify gaps
  4. Developing L&D materials
  5. Managing training budgets
  6. Working with managers to assess specific training needs and development plans

Person Specification

  • Train the Trainer qualification
  • Food Safety Trainer certification would be desirable
  • Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Competent in designing and delivering training
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential
