The role of the CBTA Deployment Support Manager is to lead, manage and coordinate the CBTA Deployment support team to ensure the effective deployment of Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) programs across customer airlines. This role will be responsible for managing the team that supports the effective and efficient delivery of CBTA to customer airlines, ensuring the resources, direction, and support needed to successfully implement Boeing’s CBTA program.

This role will involve overseeing the team’s deployment team planning, managing key stakeholder relationships, tracking progress, presenting updates and ensuring operational efficiency. The successful candidate will need strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment. This is a full-time role with hybrid working options and can be based at Manchester, Gatwick, Milton Keynes or Welwyn Garden City. Travel may be expected 25% of the time, mostly in the UK but with occasional trips to Seattle and customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the CBTA Deployment support team, ensuring alignment with Boeing’s CBTA deployment objectives.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance oversight, helping team members meet their targets and deliver high-quality support.
  • Set, monitor and manage KPI targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the deployment support team and work in conjunction with the Program Manager to ensure smooth, effective and efficient program implementation.
  • With direction from the Program Manager oversee project planning and execution, tracking milestones, identifying risks, and driving timely delivery of CBTA training program milestones and KPIs
  • Work cross-functionally with internal Boeing stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and reporting structures to enhance efficiency and ensure successful program delivery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, reporting, and communication, providing data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions.
  • Facilitate and lead regular team meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions to drive continuous improvement.


Required Skills & Experience:


  • Proven experience in managing teams in an aviation training, or aviation operational environment
  • Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop remote team members in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience working across varied teams
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in an airline flight operations or training management role
  • Familiarity with pilot training programs and CBTA methodology
  • Experience managing time-critical tasks and operational training programs
