Due to Internal promotion, we’re excited to share a new opportunity within our Technical Team for a Training and Technical Advisor.

This is a varied and rewarding role that mixes practical, hands-on work with technical support and training. You’ll be helping with real-world roofing and solar PV installations, delivering product training, and supporting both customers and colleagues with advice and solutions.

What will the role look like?

  • Supporting our Training Manager with practical tasks and helping deliver hands-on product training to roofers and installers
  • Working closely with our technical department on system designs and solar roofing solutions
  • Advising customers by phone, email, or in person – whether it's troubleshooting an issue, explaining how a system works, or recommending the right setup
  • Running or assisting with training sessions – either face-to-face or online – to help customers understand and correctly install our products
  • Keeping accurate records, helping us improve how we work, and sharing your ideas for better service
  • Read and assess technical drawings and project specifications, Preparing estimates and interpreting technical drawings
  • Use software to create solar estimates and basic AutoCAD schematics
  • Work with the wider team to improve our service and support

What we’re looking for?

  • A hands-on, practically minded person with good physical fitness – you’re comfortable lifting, climbing, and working in practical settings
  • Someone with a confident, friendly approach who enjoys working with people and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone or lead a demo
  • Good with numbers and able to work from technical plans or drawings
  • Full UK driving licence (some travel required for training and customer visits)
  • Previous Experience within construction, roofing, training or customer facing would be an advantage
  • Technically competent, AutoCAD experience would be an advantage
  • A confident speaker with excellent presentation skills and an engaging style
  • Track record of delivering results
  • Demonstrate ability to think analytically and creatively
