Job Description:

Overview: Wealth Management Europe's Training and Competence team has implemented a centralised supervisory structure to enhance adviser performance and capacity. The successful candidate will be part of the national supervisory team, providing oversight, risk analysis, and developmental support to advisers, primarily supporting Portfolio Managers, Intermediary Investment Managers, and some regulated employees across the UK and Channel Islands. Applicants should be able to travel within the network as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise portfolio management roles, analysts, and research teams.
  2. Engage with investment committees to understand strategic asset allocations.
  3. Collaborate with line managers to set goals, manage performance, and develop plans.
  4. Assess employee competence and escalate issues as necessary.
  5. Build relationships and promote a positive culture around adviser development.
  6. Provide insights into adviser performance and behavioural trends to stakeholders.
  7. Identify development opportunities across the network.
  8. Manage supervision activities, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  9. Support high standards and accountability for regulatory obligations.
  10. Analyze data to identify patterns and root causes, providing expert advice for remedial actions.
  11. Foster a mindset of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  1. CISI Certificate in Investment Management / IMC or equivalent.
  2. Maintain current competence and CPD.
  3. Strong understanding of investment instruments, asset allocation, and risk management.
  4. Experience supervising or providing technical guidance.
  5. Knowledge of FCA T&C handbook and regulatory environment.
  6. Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
  7. Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.
