Job summary

Barnardo's is seeking two Trainers with lived experience to help shape health services for young people. You will engage with young people, sharing experiences to improve services and contribute to training delivery.

Full training and support are provided, and the role emphasizes using your voice to drive positive change. The position is based in Bristol (BASE) on an As & When contract with zero guaranteed hours, offering a salary of £13.52 per hour and benefits under Barnardo's workplace

Job description

Barnardo's HYPE service puts young people's voices and experiences at the heart of health services, ensuring their views help shape and improve the support available to young people.

As part of this work, HYPE supports young people with lived experience to develop their confidence and skills as trainers. Young people with lived experience of race-related trauma have developed their own training, which they deliver with the support of a Project Worker.

We are looking for two new people to join the team and help deliver this important work.

About You

We are looking for people who:

• Have experience of being involved in young people's participation projects
• Have lived experience of bullying or discrimination because of their racial identity
• Are interested in using their experiences to help improve services for other young people
• Are willing to develop their confidence and skills in presenting and delivering training

You do not need to have previous experience as a trainer. Full training and support will be provided to help you develop your presentation and training delivery skills.
