POSTING DETAILS:

Make an Impact

Trillium Health Resources is a local governmental agency (LME/MCO) in North Carolina that manages serious mental health, substance use, and intellectual/developmental disability services. Serving in 46 counties, we help individuals and their families strengthen well-being and build foundations for a healthy life.

Join our team as we empower others to live their best lives by providing access to quality healthcare. We offer a challenging, engaging work environment where staff take home more than a paycheck. Every day, we see the results of our dedication – in the smiles of children on our accessible playgrounds and in the pride on the face of an adult cooking a meal for the first time. Working at Trillium Health Resources is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the communities we serve.

At Trillium, we know that empowering others begins with supporting and developing our team. That’s why we offer competitive benefits and work-from-home flexibility so that our employees thrive outside of the office. We’re also committed to building a diverse, inclusive culture where all employees have the potential to grow professionally and personally.

What We’re Looking For

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training is a jail diversion and de-escalation model of training for law enforcement during which officers gain a better understanding of the needs of individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders or intellectual/developmental disabilities. The idea is to divert them to treatment when this can be done at little risk to public safety. While Trillium facilitates the training, it is very much a community collaboration.

We are hiring a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Coordinator to be responsible for managing and coordinating all facets of the CIT program. The CIT Coordinator builds upon the foundation of the current CIT base of sponsors by collaborating with volunteers, community partners, and Trillium staff to offer specialized training for Law Enforcement in accordance with the pre-arrest jail diversion model set forth by the Memphis Model.

On a typical day, you might:

  • Stay current with updates in the CIT model through participation in state level discussions and annual conferences.
  • Work to educate stakeholders and people served regarding the cost savings and increased safety associated with CIT.
  • Capitalize on collaboration with community-based groups and organizations who share our vision, like NAMI; various County Partners for Health; Eastern NC Council of Substance Abuse; local County Substance Abuse Coalitions.
  • Travel within Trillium’s 46 county catchment to conduct training.

Employee Benefits:
