Job description

Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting non-experienced Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. The role involves working in children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings in Gedney and surrounding areas. We seek flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals interested in working within a specialist environment. Full training and qualifications, including Team Teach, Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Child Protection, and Working with Self Harm, will be provided to the right candidates.

The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs in residential or independent living settings. The goal is to create an environment that caters to the young person's intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Candidates should possess confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these young people and positively impact their lives.

Responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, supporting young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.

A valid driving license is essential, as you will need to drive the unit car and transport young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.

Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete an induction program before placements are offered.
