We are recruiting Trainee Youth Workers to join our team to work in residential settings. We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals.

The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to service users with complex needs within a residential setting, aiming to create an environment that caters to a person’s intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will be working with individuals placed into the care system for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, we require individuals who have confidence, patience, and the skills to work successfully with these people and make a positive impact on their lives.

In this role, you will support young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping.

Please note that you will need to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programs before any placements can be offered.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff
• Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for service users and staff
• Keep up to date with all communication and information systems
• Attend and actively participate in meetings
• Support service users in managing their behavior using approved skills
• Promote equality, acknowledging individuals’ differences
• Protect service users from abuse from staff, visitors, or other service users
• Write accurate reports for reviews and keep written records for monitoring
• Attend all required training and aim to achieve relevant qualifications
• Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern
• Keep up to date with procedures and policy changes
• Take responsible care for health and safety of yourself and others
• Undertake any additional duties relevant to the role
