Fulbridge Social Care is recruiting Experienced and Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our casual team. These roles involve working in children’s residential homes and Independent Living settings. We are seeking flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment where full training and qualifications are provided.

The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to young people with challenging behavior and complex needs. The goal is to create an environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Candidates should have confidence, patience, and skills to work effectively with these young people and positively impact their lives.

Your responsibilities include supporting young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping. You will also interact with professionals like Social Workers, Probation Officers, and Police Officers, and support young people in environments such as classrooms, courts, and police stations.

A driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the unit car and escort young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.

Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish one of our induction programs before placements are offered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  8. Write accurate reports for reviews and maintain written records for monitoring.
  9. Attend all required training and aim to achieve relevant qualifications.
  10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern.
  11. Stay updated with procedures and policy changes.
  12. Ensure health and safety for yourself and others.
  13. Undertake additional duties relevant to the role as required.
