Trainee Workshop Engineer (Forklift Assembly & PDI Technician/Engineer)

Salary: £29,000 - £34,500 Base + 6% Employer/4% Employee Pension + Overtime at Time 1.5 & 2.0 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance + Discount Benefits Scheme + Uniform + Training

Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

This role is with a highly successful and international manufacturer of materials handling equipment, offering full training.

The position suits individuals seeking a team-based environment with training and progression opportunities.

To apply, candidates should have assembly/fitting experience with mechanical equipment.

The role involves working within a team of 12 engineers, assembling, building, and modifying forklifts. You will perform PDI’s to high standards to ensure quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out PDI’s on various trucks
  • Occasional service and repair work

  • Maintain a clean workshop
  • Order parts as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally hold a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in mechanical, vehicle technician, or similar discipline
